IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE ŠAVRINKE

Pot za turnom – the cobbled lane

“Look beneath your feet. Generations have walked on these stones.”

In winter, when there was less work in the fields, the villagers would fix paths, stairs, dry stone walls, and pavements during communal work gatherings (rabute). The stone was laid by hand in a way that allowed water to drain away. Look for the stone channel—and tread the path once walked by the Šavrinke as well.
