ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY

As part of this project, an ethnographic study was conducted on the journeys and trade of the Šavrinke women, incorporating both Slovenian and Croatian perspectives. It was created in collaboration between the Regional Museum Koper and the Ethnographic Museum of Istria – Museo etnografico dell’Istria from Pazin.

The Šavrinke project is designed to preserve, interpret, and modernize the valorization of the heritage of Istrian women traders, who for decades shaped the cultural, social, and economic identity of this region.
